WAVEFRONT ZERO, 2015
by Vladimir Grafov
WAVEFRONT Zero starts off with the sea coast being defined by a perfectly straight line of light being interrupted only by waves, as the wavefront is in constant turbulent motion. Grafov uses laser as an optical method to visualise the flow in fluid waves. By marking a zero level as if making an incision in the sea, the work reveals the dynamic forces of the wind and sea streams beneath the Pier. The green wavefront even appears like (artificially) glowing plankton.

TRANSLUSCENT SUPREMACY, 2015
by Vladimir Grafov
The work relies on several unique properties of laser radiation, such as coherence and discrete spectral emission, allowing for a new approach to optical image generation.

IMPLOSION CHAMBER, 2014
by Evelina Domnitch, Dmitry Gelfand
Implosion Chamber is a new exploration of the multifold phenomenon of acoustic cavitation, which the duo has been pursuing for over a decade since the creation of Camera Lucida: Sonochemical Observatory.

MEMORY VAPOR, 2011
by Evelina Domnitch, Dmitry Gelfand
Subatomic cascade of cosmic rays is rendered visible by threads of condensation droplets. A white laser sheet scans and illuminates the emerging droplets, transforming the gas into a dynamic prism that vastly extends the spatio-temporal perception of particle trajectories.

PHOTONIC WIND, 2013
by Evelina Domnitch, Dmitry Gelfand
Shining into a vacuum chamber, a laser beam levitates and propels diamond micropowder. Forming starry jets and languorous vortical clouds, the diamond dust evokes light's pervasive flow, insuppressibly transforming everything in its wake.

HYDRO ACOUSTIC STUDY, 2010
by Paul Prudence, Francisco Lpez
The main concepts behind the piece was that of hydroacoustic activity suggesting affect of sound waves propagating through liquids to create cymatic patterns. Other inspirations came from microscopic and cellular lifeforms, axon activity in the brain and sonically transduced plasmas.

MUCILAGINOUS OMNIVERSE, 2009
by Evelina Domnitch, Dmitry Gelfand, CoH, Valekrij
Above the surface of upwardly sonicated silicone oil, falling droplets of the same liquid are suspended by a thin membrane of air, acoustically regenerated underneath each droplet. Without coalescing for extended periods, these palpitating spheroids bounce on the air-oil interface.

HYDROGENY, 2010
by Evelina Domnitch, Dmitry Gelfand
Emanating from an array of electrodes at the bottom of a water-filled chamber, strings and strata of hydrogen bubbles meticulously trace their emergent surroundings. As a white laser sheet illuminates the bubble trajectories, each quivering globule divides the light into its constituent spectrum of colors.

SONOLEVITATION 3D, 2009
by Evelina Domnitch, Dmitry Gelfand, Bas van Koolwijk
A 15 kHz sonic vibration is reflected at a precise distance from its source, generating a standing wave that levitates gold leaf and other lightweight matter.
